This policy explains the payment methods we accept, how and when payment is taken, and how we keep your payment data secure. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions governing all orders placed at Só Verde (soverde.pt) and complies with Portuguese and European law (Decree-Law No. 24/2014 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU).
1. ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS
So Verde accepts the following payment methods at checkout:
- Credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard and other major networks
- PayPal
- MB Way
- Multibanco (reference payment)
- Any additional methods displayed at checkout
The payment options available to you may vary depending on your location and device. Only the methods shown at checkout are accepted.
2. CURRENCY
- All prices on soverde.pt are displayed and charged in Euros (€ EUR)
- If your card or bank account operates in another currency, your bank or payment provider will apply its own exchange rate and may charge a conversion fee. Só Verde has no control over these rates or fees.
3. WHEN PAYMENT IS TAKEN
- Payment is authorised and captured at the time you place your order
- Your order is only confirmed and routed for fulfilment once payment has been successfully verified and cleared
- For Multibanco reference payments, your order is confirmed once the reference is paid; unpaid references expire and the order is not processed
📌 Because fulfilment begins immediately upon payment confirmation, orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed. Please see our Order Cancellation Policy.
4. PRICES & VAT (IVA)
- All prices shown include Portuguese VAT (IVA) where applicable, unless stated otherwise at checkout
- The final price payable, including any taxes and shipping, is always displayed before you confirm your order

5. PRICING ERRORS
So Verde makes every effort to ensure all prices are accurate. However:
- In the event of an obvious pricing error, technical fault or typographical mistake, So Verde is not obligated to honour an incorrect price
- Where an order is affected by such an error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund, notifying you by email
- This is consistent with Section 4 of our Order Cancellation Policy
6. PAYMENT SECURITY
Your security is a priority:
- All transactions are processed over an encrypted, secure (SSL) connection
- Payments are handled by trusted, PCI-DSS-compliant payment providers
- So Verde does not store your full card details on its servers; card data is processed directly by our payment providers
- We never ask for your full card number or PIN by email or phone
⚠️ So Verde will never request sensitive payment information through unofficial channels. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from So Verde, do not respond and contact us at support@soverde.pt.
7. DECLINED OR FAILED PAYMENTS
If your payment is declined or fails to authorise:
- Your order will not be confirmed or processed
- This may be due to insufficient funds, incorrect card details, bank security checks or daily limits
- Please verify your details and try again, or contact your bank or payment provider
- No stock is reserved until payment is successfully confirmed
8. FRAUD PREVENTION
To protect customers and our business, So Verde reserves the right to:
- Verify payment and order details before dispatch
- Decline or cancel any order suspected to be fraudulent, automated, or linked to prior abuse of So Verde policies
- Request additional verification where necessary
In any such case, a full refund will be issued and the customer notified by email.
9. REFUNDS
Refunds, where applicable, are always returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. For full details on eligibility, timelines and shipping costs, please see our Return & Refund Policy.
💳 Once processed by us, refunds may take an additional 3–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider.
